I began my journey as a birder in August 2025, after the purchase of a new Sony camera, the A6700.

Wildlife photography was never the reason behind getting an A6700. Birders would definitely agree that this APSC has insufficient fps required to capture flight shots, coupled with a smaller sensor size. But, here I am, waiting patiently for the presence of a bird sighting.

From the months of September to December last year, I have seen and amassed photos of 70 different bird species in Singapore. It is really spectacular to me, that many birds are co-existing among us.

That is why, in 2026, I have decided to embark on my first Big Year, to spot 170 birds. Wish me luck! :)
